Miroslav provides clients with comprehensive legal services in these areas. He has co-drafted numerous legal analyses and a multitude of major privatisation projects, mergers, acquisitions, sales of shareholdings and enterprises. In addition to his expertise in labour, commercial and civil law matters, he has extensive experience in social security law and dispute resolution. Mirek is a long-standing arbitrator at the Arbitration Court attached to the Czech Chamber of Commerce and the Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic.

Apart from his legal practice, he held the position of head of the department and professor of labour and social security law at the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague. He led the collective of authors of the commentary on the Labour Code, an acknowledged piece of Czech legal literature, published in the C. H. Beck publishing house. He also co-authored practical commentary on the Labour Code and a commentary on the Civil Service Act, both published by Wolters Kluwers. He is the author and co-author of a number of textbooks and other professional publications in the field of labour law and social security.

Mirek received a doctoral degree (JUDr.) after graduating from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 1974.

In 1988 he became an associate professor and in 1998 a professor of labour law and social security law at the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague.

He completed postgraduate studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

He started his legal practice in 1991 when he co-founded the law firm Kříž & Bělina, and served as its Executive Director and partner until 2012.

He has been the Executive Director and partner of Bělina & Partners since 2012.
