JUDr. Tomáš Bělina

Commercial law, labour law, dispute resolution and litigation, public procurement law

Tomáš provides clients with comprehensive legal services in these areas. Tomáš drafts contractual and other documents and represents clients and contracting authorities in arbitration and tender procedures, respectively. He has extensive experience in labour-law consultancy, representing clients in litigation and preparing labour-law opinions. He has been involved in mergers and acquisitions with foreign investors in the Czech Republic and in legal audits of major Czech and foreign companies. He co-drafted numerous legal analyses and transaction documents for major property deals.

Tomáš co-authored the commentary on the Labour Code, an acknowledged piece of Czech legal literature, published by the C. H. Beck publishing house. He also contributed to a practical commentary on the Labour Code and a commentary on the Civil Service Act, both published by Wolters Kluwers.

Tomáš graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University where he received a master’s degree (Mgr.) in 2002 and a doctoral degree (JUDr.) in 2006.

During his studies, Tomáš spent one year at the Faculty of Law of Lund University (Sweden) and six months at the Faculty of Law of University of Passau (Germany).

He completed a one-year study programme (L.L.M.) in European and International Commercial Law at the Europa-Institute of the University of Saarland (Germany).

He started his legal practice in 2002 and has been the Executive Director and managing partner of Bělina & Partners since 2012.

Until 2006, he worked at the Prague office of the White & Case international law firm.

He was the Executive Director and partner of Advokátní kancelář Kříž a Bělina s.r.o. (law office) in 2010–2012.
